In American Discerner you are going to see the phrase Globalist-CCP Axis on a regular basis; this because those two cadres present the greatest current threat not only to the United States of America surviving as a Constitutional Republic, but to all people on the planet.
Today we will commence with a “macro” introduction to the Globalist side of that equation, and the dystopian system it intends to impose – and is well on its way to completing. So let’s call this a bird’s eye overview of their motivating dynamics.
In 1957 the novel Atlas Shrugged (by Ayn Rand) was released. Recall that this period was around the peak of post-war prosperity, with a growing middle-class that (quite rationally) had an expectation of ever-growing prosperity. This while the Cold War was well underway, with the prosperous West opposing dystopian Collectivism (Communism), with nuclear war an ever-present threat.
Presciently, Ayn Rand foresaw Collectivism seeping across, and threatening to irreversibly envelop, the United States of America. Well, maybe not so presciently. Though Atlas Shrugged was published before the “Great Society,” it was after Progressivism started its long march through our Constitutional Republic’s institutions – first with Woodrow Wilson, and then FDR and his “New Deal.”
In any case, Atlas Shrugged envisioned a future USA in which Collectivism had exceeded critical mass, with economic and cultural decline proceeding toward terminal state. Though set in the then-industrial oriented economy of the day (vs. today’s financialized and tech economy), the laws of economics are immutable, and so the message still applies.
In the novel, various high-performing entrepreneurs decide to conduct what today might be referred to as a strategic retreat from the economy – a famous line in the novel being “Who is John Galt?” describing the first person to disengage and disappear.
As more and more such people just disappeared without notice, the economy started deteriorating, supply chains stopped supplying, and so on – though what we today would refer to as “normies” did not grasp the (actual) cause and effect. Not unlike what we’re experiencing today (but for diametrically opposed reasons, as we’ll see).
Britannica describes the Atlas Shrugged thus:
The book depicts a future United States on the verge of economic collapse after years of collectivist misrule, under which productive and creative citizens (primarily industrialists, scientists, and artists) have been exploited to benefit an undeserving population of moochers and incompetents. The hero, John Galt, a handsome and supremely self-interested physicist and inventor, leads a band of elite producers and creators in a “strike” designed to deprive the economy of their leadership and thereby force the government to respect their economic freedom. From their redoubt in Colorado, “Galt’s Gulch,” they watch as the national economy and the collectivist social system are destroyed. As the elite emerge from the Gulch in the novel’s final scene, Galt raises his hand “over the desolate earth and…trace[s] in space the sign of the dollar.”
The last two sentences, at first glance, might be taken to describe something not unlike the “Build Back Better” (to achieve a) “Great Reset” – a “Fourth Industrial Revolution” – that we hear about today.
In some senses, the underlying dynamics line-up; but both the cause and effect, and intended consummation, are opposites. Instead of Atlas Shrugged, we are confronting something more akin to Atlas Shoved.
In Atlas Shrugged, the productive recognized that there was no saving the “normies” of the day without them first experiencing the economic collapse that eventually (but inevitably) occurs in a Collectivist system.
On the other side of the collapse, they envisioned a restoration of the principles of the American founding – personal and economic freedom; free-enterprise and individual rights and individual accountability … very much including individual property rights to the fruits of one’s labors.
Had at the time the dollar also been shorn of all ties to gold-backing (which occurred in 1971), it is safe to say that a return to a “gold standard” would also have been an explicit goal.
Today, Atlas Shrugged is being played-out in real life – but turned on its head.
Under Atlas Shoved, it is the (self-styled / self-anointed) “productive” elite that are executing a Collectivist-resembling economic collapse. Their intent is not any restoration of economic and individual liberty, but the opposite: a tech-totalitarianism and a neo-feudal existence for most; with the elite enjoying not the fruits of their own labors, but extracting that of all beneath them, leaving them but a subsistence existence. Ostensibly to “save the planet.”
They have been working this plan for decades, and to prepare the way, have been indoctrinating a big lie – “climate change” nee “global warming.” People have been inundated with the falsity that CO2 is a pollutant (recently they’re started adding nitrogen fertilizer and methane — cow farts — to the list); that “climate change” is an existential threat; and that “sustainability” is the magic talisman that will save the planet. We’ll call this the CCBL (Climate Change Big Lie).
“Sustainability” for them is the Trojan Horse that will deliver their “Great Reset.” They openly admit that “by 2030 you [we] will own nothing” and be eating bugs. So, who will own everything? And what will those owners be eating? Presumably, the choice meat and other delicacies they enjoy at the World Economic Forum’s confabs in Davos, Switzerland. Sustainability for thee, but not for me. All CO2 emitters are equal, but some are more equal than others.
Young people in K-12 were (and remain) particular targets for the CCBL. School systems’ “grooming” of children didn’t begin with the recent deluge of grooming for deviant sexuality, i.e., drag queen story hours and such. It also occurred several decades ago (and continues) regarding CCBL. Recall Al Gore back in 2009 telling children they know things their parents don’t know.
As a consequence, today there are adults through adolescents absolutely convinced – with cult-level unquestioning devotion – that “climate change” is real, that we only have 12-ish years left, and the on-its-face-laughable premise that cow farts present imminent doom.
These are the sheep baa-baaing “sustainability” as they are led into a Great Reset / Fourth Industrial Revolution dystopia: a joint effort led by the likes of Klaus Schwab and his World Economic Forum; Bill Gates and his foundation; and the U.N. and its Agenda 2030 (with the CCP behind the curtain). The Globalists.
What they intend to impose is a (massively depopulated) globe ruled under something resembling Corporatist-Fascism:
Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism because it is a merger of state and corporate power. – Benito Mussolini
Klaus Schwab would put it this way: Fascism should more appropriately be called Corporatism ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’ because it is a merger of NON-state and corporate power.
You see, under their model, nation states that have elected representative will be subordinated to the rule of unelected, non-nation state entities: the WEF, the U.N., the Gates Foundation, central banks and so on.
Totalitarian Communism promised a “dictatorship of the proletariat.” These Globalists have effectively repackaged the thing into an environmental wrapper, and promise a “sustainability dictatorship of the progressivtariat” (just peruse the “Agenda 2030” goals and you’ll quickly recognize the woke-Marxist underpinnings of the whole endeavor).
One might conclude that the current group are psychopaths, spiritual (if not direct) descendants of monsters like Lenin and Stalin and Mao and Pol Pot … but this time working as a group, as a team – their psychopathologies feeding off each other, and reinforcing each other.
Or, one might that they suffer from demonic possession; that they are a hive of demons, feeding off and reinforcing each other’s evil.
But psychopathy and demonic possession are not necessarily mutually exclusive, are they? Perhaps the demonic possession (secularly) manifests itself as psychopathy?
Whether one, the other, or both – in the end this Globalist putsch is an evil endeavor that we must confront and defeat.
But what if we fail, and the evildoers prevail?
As the elite impose a sort-of reverse Atlas Shrugged, it will fall upon us – the plebes, the tech-proletariat, the Deplorables, the “Christian Nationalists” – to respond with a reverse-Galt.
That is: to peacefully but resolutely withdraw from their system (at least as much as possible).
“Who is John Galt” becoming “Where is John Q. Citizen?”
We withdraw. We work around their system as much as we can. And to the extent we must remain in the system, we gum up the works – if only by performing work at the minimum, or purchasing at the minimum, that we can get away with. And sharing truth with each other, even if means of mass-communication are shut-off to us.
We must not consent or resign ourselves; we will own nothing, but will become ungovernable.
Average citizens, en masse “Going Galt.” Globally.
